Merilee Salsa

I haven't been doing a really good job of finding new recipes lately, but Adrienne and Greg love to help me out!  They recently found a recipe for homemade salsa and all three of us had a blast blending it up and taste testing!

Homemade Salsa

  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, drained
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions
Don't get overwhelmed..... its pretty easy!  In a food processor, combine all ingredients; cover and process until chunky. Transfer to a small bowl.

Notes:
It is advised to wear gloves while seeding the peppers!  We didn't take any chances.  We jarred ours up and have been enjoying week!
