As much as I love berries, I've never been berry picking. Shocking! I know! So I was really excited when mom suggested that we go together this weekend. I don't really know what we would do without the internet, Adrienne found "Black Berries of Houston" at 19531 Cypress Church about 10 minutes away from us.
I believe we picked several pounds of berries in record time because of the heat! It was almost 100 degrees outside with no shade and we were all sweating through our shirts within minutes.
The berries were plump and juicy and we had no problem filling our buckets despite it being the last weekend for blackberries.
Now that we've gone picking once, Adrienne and I have been bitten by the bug and can't wait for blueberry season to start!
Brenner did such an amazing job picking blackberries; he would grab the berries off of the vine and drop them into my bucket!

We couldn't go home without several pounds of berries and a good photo of the three of us!
