Houston Zoo

Here young explorers set out a grand and dangerous adventure through the Houston Zoo.
We made our way through Africa's wild land and encountered two cheetahs.  We were lucky the cheetahs were lounging in the shade although I'm sure Travis could outrun them any day.  The cheetahs live with two Anatolian dogs who are used throughout the wildlife preserves to be companions with the cheetahs.
Next we swam through the Amazon and encountered ugly and vicious piranhas.  We witnessed a rare sight, the largest piranha in the world with an awesome fashion sense known as the Erikanha.
Travis thought he lost his wallet in Africa and we had to head back to search for it.  We asked a  troop of giraffes to help us search high up in the trees, but they seemed more interested in licking the trees and eating than looking for Trav's wallet.
Although Travis found his wallet securely in his pocket where he left it, we couldn't help but hang out with the elephants for awhile.
The baby elephant, Baylor wobbled and stumbled all about like a clumsy puppy dog.
Then itched his trunk :)

This tiger didn't like the heat and was growling all afternoon!  We could hear him all across the park, "grroaaaannnnn....its too damn hooooot!!!!"
Look at this wild animal we came across trying to escape!!!!  Taken out of his natural habitat, the Boo Boo bear did not look happy in his man made environment.   Having a striking resemblance to Adrienne and Greg, we all decided to help the Boo Boo Bear escape and took him home with us!
And we left this one at the zoo :)
Stinky flamingos!
We really enjoyed our adventure at the Houston Zoo.  Brenner loved all of the animals and would growl when he saw the lions and tigers!  We especially enjoyed out lunch at Jason's Deli and afternoon naps!
